A2S launches a new range of products

Developed jointly by A2S and Fonteck, this family of products* is intended for applications in explosive atmospheres (oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical installations, refineries, etc.) and more specifically for zones 1 and 2 and gas groups IIB and IIC. These products, associated with motors, compressors, lighting and signaling, for example for a heliport on an offshore platform or air treatment, constitute crucial elements within the devices intended to ensure the safety of people and industrial installations.

All of these new products, made of stainless steel, have received ATEX/IECEX certifications and offer a very high level of protection. A2S has thus ruled out aluminium, a material that is admittedly light but too sensitive to corrosion, and has developed its own models equipped with innovative closing and sealing systems.

Beyond the intrinsic quality of its equipment, A2S aims to offer complete explosion-proof solutions while adapting to specific customer requests. “The A2S approach is carried out through the processes of interaction between the different elements of a system. Compressors, heaters etc. are always connected to a control device but the environment of use can vary enormously. This is why we offer made-to-measure control boxes, whether in terms of size, control device or observation window. This is where our added value lies,” explains Nicolas Sevestre, manager of A2S.

The company can, for example, provide windows for viewing instruments such as pressure and temperature indicators, in the size of these indicators and in a square, round or rectangular shape depending on the material used by the customer.

These customizable boxes cover three complementary functions: control (visualization), command (actuators, switches, emergency stop buttons, etc.), signaling (indicator lights).

In addition, A2S has chosen to manufacture “large size” control boxes (900×600 mm) which makes it possible to optimize costs (fewer boxes to buy) and to facilitate connections (more capacity per box). "We have obtained the necessary ATEX/IECEX certifications for this type of enclosure, which we can therefore offer in various sizes, from the smallest to the largest" , specifies Nicolas Sevestre. The marketing of these new products has already started and provides a concrete response to market needs, particularly in terms of tailor-made configurations.
