Warning lights suitable for use in Hazardous Areas must be designed for potentially explosive atmospheres and harsh environmental conditions, where a high degree of corrosion resistance is required.
Types of lamps :
Incandescent lamps:
A tungsten wire, subjected to high temperatures emits light energy on a broad spectrum.
Halogen lamps:
Using a glass body (smaller volume than conventional bulbs) by filling it with halogens (iodine, bromine). The deterioration of the filament is slower resulting in consistent performance even higher.
Xenon glow tubes:
By applying a high enough voltage in a glass body filled with xenon, this results in a very intense light pulse.
LED :
The LED (Light Emitting Diode) are semiconductors that convert an optical voltage in visible light.
